Who are we?
Kidney Failure Awareness and Advocacy SA (KFAASA) is a non-profit organisation dedicated to raising awareness and driving advocacy for Kidney health and the prevention of kidney failure. We exist to educate the public, influence health policy, and amplify the voices of those affected by kidney disease across South Africa. Our mission is to ensure that kidney health becomes a national priority through informed communities, responsive health systems, and strong advocacy. At KFAASA, We believe that awareness saves lives.

KFAASA focuses on awareness, education, and advocacy-creating a better understanding of kidney diseases and inspiring action that leads to prevention and early detection
Awareness Campaigns
We design and deliver kidney health campaigns, community talks, and educational initiatives that inform the public about risk factors, symptoms, and prevention strategies.
Prevention Education
We engage with government departments, healthcare stakeholders, and corporate wellness programs to promote policies that prioritise kidney health and sustainable dialysis care.
Support Networks
We collaborate with healthcare professionals, wellness programs, and public platforms to bring kidney health awareness directly to workplaces, schools, and communities.
Raising Awareness, Saving Lives
At Kidney Failure Awareness and Advocacy South Africa (KFAASA), we believe that knowledge is the first step toward prevention. Through our awareness and advocacy efforts, we aim to educate South Africans about kidney health, risk factors, and the importance of early detection. Many people only discover kidney disease at an advanced stage, when treatment options are limited — but with the right information, kidney failure can often be prevented or managed earlier.
